The Beehive is a collaborative learning and leadership space for women who want to lead with greater clarity, courage, creativity, and care. Each season, we gather around a different theme, exploring it through three lenses: your leadership approach, your relationships, and the systems and cultures you are influencing.
Together, we explore new ideas, experiment with practical approaches, and learn from one another as we navigate the beautifully complex work of leading change in our organizations and communities.

What is the difference between The Garden Shed and The Beehive?
The Garden Shed is focused on management (i.e. planning, organizing, operations, day-to-day implementation) while The Beehive is focused on leadership (i.e. vision, relationships, influence, inspiration, power, innovation and risk taking). Both offer monthly learning experiences and opportunities to connect with and learn alongside peers.
What is The Garden Party for a Flourishing World?
The Garden Party for a Flourishing World is a liberatory care collective for women who cultivate change. You can learn more about The Garden Party at this link.
Can I get a refund if I change my mind?
We do not offer refunds. When you join, you will receive immediate access to class archives and other materials that have tremendous value. If there is something you would like to see that is not available, let us know! We build these spaces for our members and want to hear about your needs and ideas.
If you are a member of The Garden Party for a Flourishing World and want to join The Beehive or The Garden Shed, or if you want to expand your membership to include everything, let us know before you upgrade we will offer a prorated credit in the amount you have already paid.
For example, if you joined The Garden Party for a Flourishing World and paid $60 two months ago, but now you would like to join The Beehive, send us an email and we will send you a personalized discount code to apply $50 ($60 / 12 x 10) towards the cost of The Beehive.
Is membership for individuals, teams, or organizations?
Each membership is for one specific person. If ten or more people from your group would like to join, please contact us for a special group rate. A group may include an organization, professional association, or foundation with multiple grantees.
I'm not a woman. Can I participate in The Beehive?
Yes, absolutely. Our space is open to women, gender expansive people, and allies. The content is built around women's lived experience, cultural expectations, and systemic barriers; however, we believe that anyone who is open to learning and creating change will benefit from this content.
How much time should I plan to commit as a member?
That's totally up to you. Each class is generally less than 30 minutes. Our spaces are designed for application, not just passive consumption. What matters most is your ability and willingness to apply what you learn in your daily management and leadership activities. Like anything else in life, the more you participate and contribute, the more you will get out of it. Engaging in our discussion and collaborative spaces will complement your ability to effectively develop new skills and put knowledge into practice.
How can I connect with other members?
There are dedicated spaces to ask questions and share ideas or projects with other members. These spaces provide an opportunity for group discussion. If you are a member of both The Garden Shed and The Beehive, you will also be able to search for other members and send direct messages.
Is this only for executive directors or senior leaders?
Not at all. The Garden Shed and The Beehive are designed for people who want to grow their skills and capacity for community and nonprofit work, whether you're leading an organization, managing a program, serving on a team, building your career, serving on a board, or stepping into leadership for the first time.
Do I have to work for a nonprofit or charitable organization to join?
No. While much of the content is designed with nonprofit and community work in mind, the skills, ideas, and conversations may also be valuable to people working in philanthropy, social enterprise, government, education, community organizing, and other social benefit spaces.
What happens when my membership ends?
Your membership will automatically renew each year unless you cancel. You'll have access to the membership spaces and resources as long as you are an active member.
